Altamont Corridor Express (ACE)

California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) vision is to be a recognized leader in public service. The mission is to provide quality licensing and motor vehicle-related services to the public.

The two primary functions offered are registering vehicles and licensing drivers. The following functions are provided:

  • Maintaining driving records (accidents and convictions) of licensed drivers

Californias Low Cost Automobile Insurance Program

California’s Low Cost Automobile Insurance Program is a state-sponsored program that makes insurance affordable for California residents who meet the eligibility requirements, regardless of immigration status. Wherever you live, youll find these policies more affordable than what most private plans offer. Payment plans are available for as little as 20% down. Major credit or debit cards are accepted. These policies are issued by California-licensed insurance companies. Additional coverage options are also available.

City of Escalon (eTrans)

eTrans is Escalons bus system. The door-to-door dial-a-ride service operates within the City of Escalon and provides connection to Riverbank. The eTrans Route 35 services operate between Downtown Escalon Park and Ride Lot Northwest Modesto, serving Kaiser Permanente, Vintage Faire Mall, and destinations Kiernan Avenue, Dale Road, McHenry Avenue, and Stanford Avenue. Transit Services are funded with State Transportation Development Act (TDA), Measure K and Federal Transit Administration Section 5311 funds. All transit services provided by eTrans are open and available to the general public. eTrans bus passes are available for sale at the address listed below. Bus passes can also be purchased from the bus operator.

Lodi GrapeLine, Dial-A-Ride, and ADA Paratransit VineLine

Lodi GrapeLine operates fixed-route transit services within city limits. The buses run on an hourly loop, adhering to a consistent schedule with designated stops throughout Lodi.

The VineLine ADA Paratransit service operates within city limits and extends to certain unincorporated areas in Woodbridge and Acampo. This door-to-door, reservation-only service is available for individuals who are ADA-certified and unable to use the fixed-route bus system.

The Dial-A-Ride (DAR) service also operates within city limits and some unincorporated areas in Woodbridge and Acampo. This is a door-to-door, reservation-only service available to the general public.

These services conveniently connect at the Lodi Transit Station (24 South Sacramento Street). Additionally, Amtrak and Greyhound provide services at the Lodi Transit Station.

Access San Joaquin (ASJ)

Access San Joaquin (ASJ) is a Consolidated Transportation Services Agency (CTSA) formed by multiple transit operators in San Joaquin County, including Lodi GrapeLine. ASJ offers a variety of programs and services, including:

City of Manteca (Manteca Transit)

Eligibility:

Manteca Transit Dial-a-Ride service is a door-to-door transportation service for individuals with a certified disability, seniors age 62 and older, and Medicare participants. Only persons certified by Manteca Transit as meeting the requirements are eligible to ride this service. There are no eligibility requirements for fixed route service.

Manteca Transit operates fixed route and Dial-a-Ride bus service throughout Manteca with stops at key locations throughout the city. Manteca Transit operates three fixed routes within the Manteca city limits.

    Manteca Transit Dial-a-Ride service is a curb-to-curb transportation service for individuals with a certified disability, seniors age 62 and older, and Medicare participants. This paratransit service is required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Only persons certified by Manteca Transit as meeting the requirements are eligible to ride this service. Trips are scheduled during the same times and within three-quarters of a mile of the fixed route service. Individuals with a certified disability, seniors (age 62+) and Medicare participants must be certified to utilize the Dial-a-Ride services.

    ADA Complementary Paratransit certification is done by Access San Joaquin. Passengers receive an in-person functional assessment. Once ADA-certified, you will have ridership privileges within each jurisdiction in San Joaquin County based on that agencys ADA fare structure.

    Reservations

    Reservation and subscription services are available on Manteca Dial-A-Ride up to fourteen (14) days in advance by calling the Manteca Transit Office at (209) 456-8888 Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

    All Manteca Transit buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts or ramps and at least two wheelchair securement locations.

    City of Ripon (Blossom Express)

    Blossom Express makes four continuous round trip loops every Tuesday and Thursday beginning in Ripon, traveling to Modesto, and returning to Ripon - two roundtrips in the morning and two roundtrips in the afternoon. Each roundtrip cycle will be one hour, permitting increased flexibility for all riders. The routes include stops which provide regional connections to both San Joaquin Regional Transit District (RTD) Route 91 service north to Manteca and Stockton at Colony & Goodwin or Wilma and Fourth, and south connecting to Modestos MAX, and Escalons eTrans Bus Routes at Dale and Veneman Avenue or Kaiser Permanente in Modesto. Modesto stops include Kaiser Permanente Hospital and Clinic on Dale Road, the Vintage Faire Mall, and the Target Shopping Center. All bus stops are ADA accessible.

    City of Tracy (TRACER Bus Service)

    • Offers seven routes that connect riders to places like Downtown Tracy, Tracy Outlets, West Valley Mall, Walmart, and most middle and high schools.

    TRACER Plus On-Demand Service

    Provides curb-to-curb, shared ride service for the general public, designed to give all riders the ability to take public transportation within the Tracy city limits when Fixed Routes and Paratransit are not in service. TRACER Plus vehicles are safe and accessible (can transport wheelchairs).

    SERVICE HOURS:

    • Monday through Thursday 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
    • Friday 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
    • Saturday 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
    • Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 10 p.m.

    City of Tracy Parks & Recreation Department

    City of Tracy Parks & Recreation Department offers a full range of recreation programs and community services for all ages. Programs and classes are in the areas of fitness and wellness, personal development, and enrichment, and social services. Transit services are also provided. Facility rentals are available. Financial assistance is available to qualified applicants.

    Department of Consumer Affairs / Bureau of Automotive Repair (Consumer Assistance Program)

    Consumer Assistance Program offers eligible consumers repair assistance and vehicle retirement options to help improve Californias air quality. Eligible consumers may receive up to $1,200 in emissions-related repairs at a STAR test-and-repair station if their vehicle fails its biennial Smog Check inspection. Eligible consumers may receive either $1,500 or $1,000 to retire their operational vehicle at a BAR-contracted dismantler site.

    Note: Participation is based on meeting eligibility requirements and the availability of funds each fiscal year (July 1 – June 30).


    El Concilio California (Medical Transportation Services)

    El Concilio Medical Transportation Services is offered within the Stockton city limits to clients who have a need to get to medical appointments or medical-related appointments. Please call for more information.

    Friends Outside

    Eligibility:

    Anyone of any age who has had contact with the adult or juvenile justice system, whether or not they have been adjudicated, and their family members. Any neighborhood or community that is struggling with social justice issues and could use some support. Service locations include local and statewide prisons (locally DVI and the California Health Care Facility), San Joaquin County Jail, and all other state prisons in California.

    Friends Outside has provided support for individuals and families during transition in order to reduce risk and improve wellbeing, including parenting education, employment preparation and search, planning and prioritizing, mentoring, and supporting hope for those who are struggling.

    Services include Behavioral Health, Community Medical, Probation, the Sheriffs Department, Stockton PD, the Office of Violence Prevention, and many other community-based organizations. Friends Outside help navigate the system, make the right decisions, prioritize needs, and access resources and supports when needed, believing in the capacity for good in all.

    Greyhound

    Eligibility:

    Fees: Ticket costs depend upon destination/length of trip.

    Greyhound provides transportation throughout the United States and Canada and some border cities in Mexico. The Stockton station, along with Modesto, San Jose and San Francisco stations, also sell tickets for Estrella Blanca, the Mexican bus line.

    Greyhound (Runaway Transportation Services)

    Eligibility:

    Youth ages 21 years old or younger.

    Runaway Transportation Services will provide transportation home on Greyhound, free of charge, for runaway children of indigent families. The childs parents must go to their police department and have the police contact Greyhound with the information. Greyhound will then issue a ticket with the childs name to the appropriate bus station, to be picked up by the child. The child must be 21 years or younger. However, children under 15 years of age cannot travel on their own. In such a case, Greyhound will issue a free round-trip ticket for a parent to retrieve the child and escort him or her home.

    San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG)

    San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG), created in 1968, is a joint-powers authority comprised of the County of San Joaquin and the cities of Stockton, Lodi, Manteca, Tracy, Ripon, Escalon, and Lathrop. The role of SJCOG is to foster intergovernmental coordination within San Joaquin County and with neighboring jurisdictions, the other regional agencies in the San Joaquin Valley, the State of California, and various Federal agencies.

    SJCOG is overseen by a Board of Directors which makes allocations of funding to build transportation improvements. The board also establishes regional transportation policies and programs. Citizens, special or community interest groups, and other agencies are involved in the planning and approval process. Areas of public participation include SJCOGs committees and task forces as well as attending workshops or public forums and providing input on planning decisions.

    The mission of SJCOG is to partner with local governments, the private sector, and community groups as the forum, facilitator, and administrator of regional programs, and to advocate for regional and inter-regional issues in the development of a comprehensive strategy to achieve resolutions.

    San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG) (DIBS)

    San Joaquin County of Governments (SJCOG) offers DIBS- Smart Travel for going to work, school or play with other people in carpools or vanpools, or by other smart ways such as transit, walking or biking to decrease traffic and pollution. Call DIBS on your commute today, as you travel around San Joaquin, Stanislaus, or Merced counties. DIBS will help you get to work, go to school, shopping or travel to other destinations by connecting to Smart Travel options in one place.

    DIBS provides transportation options, incentives, tips and emergency rides home. Car and vanpool participants can be placed together. This portal is offered to help save money, reduce road congestion and improve air quality.

    San Joaquin Regional Transit District (RTD)

    San Joaquin Regional Transit District is the regional transit provider for San Joaquin County, serving the Stockton Metropolitan Area and the County with intercity, interregional, and rural transit services.

    Our primary mission is to provide a safe, reliable, and efficient transportation system for the region. Please call or visit RTDs website for more route and services details.

    RTD Local and Express serve the Stockton Metropolitan Area, connecting RTD’s Express, Intercity, Hopper, and Commuter services. Local routes serve the Downtown Transit Center (DTC), Mall Transfer Station (MTS), and Hammer Transfer Station (HTS).

    Hopper Routes: Metro Hopper is a deviated fixed-route service serving popular destinations throughout the Stockton city limits.

    • In order to accommodate ADA-certified passengers who are not able to reach fixed-route stops, each Hopper can deviate from its normal route a distance of up to one mile.

    County Hopper is a deviated fixed-route service serving San Joaquin County and providing intercity connections between Stockton, Tracy, Lodi, Manteca, Ripon, Lathrop, and Escalon.

    • In order to accommodate passengers who are not able to reach their destinations within a rural area, each County Hopper can deviate from its normal route a distance of up to one mile.

    RTD offers paratransit service for those who qualify under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This program is specifically designed for those individuals who due to their disability, are functionally unable to use fixed-route services in San Joaquin County.

    This service is available seven days a week by appointment only during SMA service hours and within three-quarters of a mile of SMA fixed routes. Persons interested in this service must obtain certification under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) through an eligibility process.

    Service First of Northern California (SFNC)

    Service First of Northern California (SFNC) is a 501(c)(3) Non-profit Public Benefit Corporation that serves as an umbrella organization and operates ten community based programs. The "Service" focuses on the neediest individuals in the community. Supportive services are provided to individuals that are developmentally disabled, mentally ill, physically disabled, homeless Veterans, Social Security beneficiaries, and those struggling with addiction.

    Services offered:

    • Representative Payee Services in Modesto and Stockton
    • Supportive Living Services for developmentally disabled consumers. Services are designed according to each consumer’s individual need and offered in Modesto and Stockton.
    • The Ticket to Work Program is a voluntary program offered in Modesto and Stockton that allows Social Security beneficiaries to accept employment with the guarantee of maintaining medical services.
    • Aquatic Therapy and Wellness Program is to help patients/clients with disabilities, injuries and/or illnesses to decrease pain and increase activities of daily living.
    • “Options” Learning Center is an Adult Day Program serving VMRC consumers, is designed to improve the lives of the developmentally disabled.
    • The Outpatient Drug Treatment Program is a State Medi-Cal certified program. In addition to treatment services, SFNC has a Parole/Probation Re-Entry Program and a DUI Program. Two locations are available.
    • Service First Transportation Services is comprised of a fleet of three modified vans, all with wheelchair lifts, to accommodate wheelchair-bound passengers.
    • SFNC’s Winslow Village Apartments, a 40-unit complex, is an affordable housing tax credit project. It is a designated complex for disabled adults, living independently, with support services.
    • SFNC provides support services at Mayfair Apartments, a 43-unit complex, and Madison Arches Apartments, a 23-unit complex.
    • SFNC participates in the Neighborhood Stabilization Program, a HUD project. Non-profit agencies purchase foreclosures, rehabilitate and re-sell the homes to income-eligible families.

    Stockton Unified School District (Families in Transition (FIT))

    Families in Transition (FIT) was created to provide assistance to transitional families with issues of school enrollment. The program is designed to identify transitional children and provide appropriate community resources in order to achieve self-sufficiency for the families and enhancement in the education of the children.

    Stockton Unified School District (SUSD) serves homeless families with children and unaccompanied youth who are residing within the boundaries of SUSD. Services are offered to students who are pre-k through 12th grade or until age 21 years old, if the student is completing a high school diploma.

    The FIT program provides case management services to eligible students, youth, and their families. Based on a comprehensive assessment of need, FIT case management services may include:

    • Assistance with school enrollment
    • Mediate in dispute resolution
    • Assist in determining school of origin
    • Attendance monitoring
    • Advocate with school intervention plans or treatment goals
    • Provide transportation for students and youth to school
    • Enrollment of students into free lunch program
    • Tutoring
    • Back to school pack (includes uniform, shoes, school supplies)
    • Parenting workshop (collaboration with SUSD Parent Resource Center)
    • Locating and utilizing appropriate community resources

    Western Pacific Truck School (Truck Driving Training )

    Must be 18 years or older, possess a valid Drivers License and Social Security Card, and pass a physical and drug screening.

    Western Pacific Truck School-Truck Driving Training Program is the only truck driving school to be honored with the California Trucking Associations Fleet Safety Award and was founded in 1977. This program provides the skills and education needed to obtain a CDL and become employed in the trucking industry where there is a high demand for professional truck drivers.
