Childbirth Education Classes draw upon a variety of techniques. Childbirth instructor prepares expectant mothers and their partners for birth. The class includes instruction in relaxation and breathing to reduce the discomfort of labor, the partner's role, what to expect upon admission to the department, possible medical procedures, medicated and non-medicated labor and anesthesia, postpartum and newborn care. Tours of the Obstetric department are not yet being offered at this time. . This class is held on specific Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00p.m. Please visit website for the current list of upcoming classes.
