Services

Family Resource Network (FRN) provides information, referrals and supportive services to families raising children with special needs, as well as to professionals and college students. FRN does not diagnose disabilities and special needs. Some of the services include parent-to-parent support and referrals to community agencies that serve people with disabilities.

FRN has an extensive lending library. Resources include topics of interest for parents of special needs children and professionals who work with these children (birth to 22 years of age). Individuals may check out books featuring information about special needs (i.e. autism, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, etc.) by leaving the required $10 deposit to check out two items for three weeks. FRN serves San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Amador, Calaveras and Tuolumne counties.

FRN operates a Toy Lending Library to be used by families who have children 0-3 years old, who are participating in the CA Early Start Program. The Toy Lending Library is available Tuesday-Friday, from 9am-3pm.
