Californians in need of dental care including anyone having difficulty accessing dental care, uninsured, underinsured, unemployed, and adults and children of any age.
CDA Cares is to improve the oral health of all Californians by supporting the dental profession in its efforts to meet community needs. Oral health is critical to the total health and well-being of an individual. For young children, it means they won’t live with pain or miss school. For adults, it can enhance employment outcomes, improve their overall health and quality of life and, for many, restore dignity.
CDA Cares facilitates events and grant opportunities to community-based organizations and individuals who reduce barriers to care in underserved populations. They represent the dental profession and its philanthropic values as it generously gives back to help meet the needs of Californians. CDA Cares offers extractions, fillings, cleanings, oral health education and assistance finding a source for ongoing dental care. On a limited basis, CDA Cares also offers root canals, dentures and temporary partial dentures.
