Services

American Cancer Society provides support to cancer patients and their families at no direct cost to patients or the people who care for them. This includes transportation to medical appointments, transportation reimbursement, lodging, support groups and wigs.

American Cancer Society also provides information on all types of cancer and prevention education. A live chat line is available.

Cancer Support Groups hosts two cancer support groups:

  • "Reach to Recovery" puts women with breast cancer into contact with other breast cancer survivors.
  • "Road to Recovery" depends on your individual needs and what’s available in your area. They will coordinate a ride with an American Cancer Society volunteer driver, coordinate a ride with a local organization that has partnered with them to provide transportation, or refer you to a local resource that can help.

A Spanish-speaking support group for cancer patients is also available. Please call to inquire about support group meeting days and times.
