Home Delivered Meals - 60 years and older, homebound, high nutritional risk, frail, and low income.

Services

Senior Lunch is for mobile (non-homebound) older adults (60 years and older) to eat delicious, nutritious hot meals while socializing at the various community centers and senior centers. Older adults need to register. Contact the nearest community center to learn about their congregate meals schedule.

The Home Delivered Meals program provides nutritious meals and in person contacts to homebound seniors in the San Joaquin County community. The Home Delivered Meals program provides nutritious meals and in person contacts to homebound seniors in the San Joaquin County community. In order to be eligible, a person must be 60 years of age or older, homebound, frail, high nutritional risk, and low-income. Those seniors who live alone are the highest priority for the home meal delivery service. Eligibility will be determined. There is a waitlist.

The menus meet USDA dietary guidelines reviewed by nutritionists to ensure compliance with federal guidelines. Meals are designed to be low fat, low salt, and low sugar.
