University of the Pacific's Community Re-Entry Program at Martin Gipson Center is a drop-in socialization center serving adults with mental health disabilities, including schizophrenia and bipolar disorders. The center serves approximately 45–55 clients per day and focuses on supporting increased community integration through the development of independent living, lifelong leisure, recreational, pre-vocational, and job readiness skills.
Participants have access to a wide range of services, including health and wellness classes, online Zoom classes, consumer empowerment groups such as People Who Love and Care (PWLC), vocational training, and employment-readiness support. The center is staffed by university students, on-the-job trainees, and volunteers, creating a supportive, education-based environment that promotes recovery and self-empowerment.
