Silver Lake Campers Association Stockton Family Camp is located at Silver Lake on Highway 88 behind Plasse's Resort just a few miles above Bear River Reservoir and below Kirkwood Resort at Carson Pass in Amador County. Founded in 1921, Silver Lake Stockton Family Camp has hosted campers escaping the heat and bustle of the city of Stockton for a fresher, more peaceful setting.
Silver Lake Campers Association Stockton Family Camp is located on land that is leased by the City of Stockton from the United States Forest Service (U.S.F.S.), El Dorado National Forest. Open seasonally, from late spring to late summer, the camp operates under a special use permit. The Camp welcomes all to enjoy the beauty of the High Sierra.
Activities at Silver Lake Camp are all included in the prices shown, with three meals a day and lodging (bring your own bedding).
If
you prefer, you may plan your own outdoor adventure. There are many
hiking trails within a short distance of camp. Campers may swim or
fish at the lake, or simply relax under the trees. Enjoy a walk through
one of the wildflower-filled meadows near the camp, or walk down to the lake to
pay a visit to the wild geese. For those wishing a more strenuous hike and
an all-day adventure, it is recommended to take the longer (8+miles) hikes to either Thunder Mountain
or Needle’s Eye.
Cabin rental fees apply. Please call for camp season dates, and for more information.
