Medical Therapy Program (MTP) is a special program within California Children’s Services that provides physical therapy, occupational therapy, and medical therapy conference services in outpatient clinics located in designated public schools for children who have handicapping conditions generally due to neurological or musculoskeletal disorders.
Services provided include:
Anyone, such as a parent, teacher, school nurse, or physician can refer a child or young adult to the MTP.
Therapy services are provided at rehabilitative units called "Medical Therapy Units" (MTU), in a school setting at four locations in San Joaquin County:Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
