San Joaquin Pride Center serves the diverse LGBT+ community in San Joaquin County and the surrounding areas by creating a safe and welcoming space, providing resources that enrich body, mind and spirit, and educating the public in nurturing, affirming, respect, and showing acceptance for all people within the LGBT+ community.
They offer the following programs:
Cultural Sensitivity/ LGBT+ 101 Trainings: the San Joaquin Pride Center offers a variety of trainings throughout San Joaquin County and surrounding areas. If you have any questions or wish to schedule a training for your organization, please contact them.
Peer Groups: the San Joaquin Pride Center offers peer-led drop-in support groups for LGBT+ communities throughout San Joaquin County. These groups provide opportunities for the LGBT+ community (including allies) to socialize, network and discuss issues and topics within a safe, welcoming and supportive environment. Groups include: Monthly social events, youth hangout nights, business markets, and more.
Counseling Support: the San Joaquin Pride Center offers free youth and adult individual, couple and family counseling sessions to support the community in improving their mental well-being. They also have TransForm; a transgender support group that meet for activities and peer support. There is also Mental Health support groups available.
