NAMI San Joaquin County's Free Mental health Services are dedicated to improving the lives of people with mental illness and their families through free education, support groups, and advocacy. It is a local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, providing services, resources, and community outreach within San Joaquin County.

Services include:
Peer-to-Peer Class: Free, eight-session educational program for adults with mental health conditions who are looking to better understand themselves and their recovery.

Connection Support Group: Free, peer-led support group for any adult who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. Insight will be gained from hearing the challenges and successes of others, and the groups are led by trained leaders who've been in similar situation.

Family-to-Family Class: Free, 8-session educational program for family, significant others and friends of people with mental health conditions. It is a designated evidenced-based program. This means that research shows that the program significantly improves the coping and problem-solving abilities of the people closest to a person with a mental health condition.

Family Support Group: Free, peer-led support group for any adult with a loved one who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. Gain insight from the challenges and successes of others facing similar experiences.

Provider Education Program: This program introduces mental health professionals to the unique perspectives of people with mental health conditions and their families. Enhanced empathy skills will be developed for daily challenges and recognize the importance of including them in all aspects of the treatment process. This is a 15-hour program of in-service training taught by a team consisting of an adult with a mental health condition, a family member and a mental health professional who is also a family member or has a mental health condition themselves.

This program offer these services both in-person and virtually for your convenience.
