Kelly’s Angels Foundation is a non-profit working with the community to reach their mission to provide support for children of homicide victims and victims of violent crimes. They are striving to achieve their mission by means of involvement in sports, peer mentoring, tutoring, and therapy. This can assist as well as increase the motivation, social, and emotional well being in children and adolescents that are living through such a traumatic experience.
- Kelly's Angels Foundation provides financial support for children who are interested in participating in sports. Without funding, clients may not have the opportunity to receive the benefits of organized sports.
- Kelly's
Angels Foundation provides educational tutoring for children who would
like, or are in need of one-on-one help with their homework and assignments. The tutoring program not only assists academically, they also try to
promote education and increase motivation for learning.
- Mentors will engage in fun activities and expose children to new experiences. The mentor will encourage positive choices, promote increased self-esteem, support academic achievement, and introduce the young person to new ideas.
- They offer a warm atmosphere for guardians and children to learn coping skills that will help benefit the mental health of all involved.
- Kelly's Angels Foundation also offers a Kin Care Support Group. If you have guardianship of or are raising siblings, grandchildren, nieces or nephews, join them for a monthly support group where there is an opportunity to share concerns and gain new resources to help children thrive. Kin Care is a special type of care and these children deserve special attention to resources. Free childcare and refreshments are provided. Call or email for dates, times and locations.
