CalEITC is a cash back tax credit that puts money back into the pockets of California's working families and individuals, available for the first time in 2016. The CalEITC could boost income for an estimated 600,000 eligible families. You must file a tax return in order to receive this cash back tax credit. You can file your taxes for free in person through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program or online here.
