California Highway Patrol (CHP) remains committed in keeping the public safe. It is the Patrol's sworn duty to go above and beyond the call of duty to prevent loss of life, injuries, and property damage. The motto is "Safety, Service, and Security." A proactive stance is taken against crime, trying not only to protect the public, but by showing the public how to protect themselves. Safe driving is promoted for all ages, have programs designed to teach kids about the dangers of drugs and alcohol, and provide support to victims of crimes.
