Changeist is an out-of-school program that brings together middle school, high school, and college-aged youth to learn a common civic language, engage in dialogue, and build community to investigate local and national challenges. On Saturdays between January 10, 2026, and June 27, 2026, we focus on developing our sociopolitical knowledge and personal agency.

As a Changeist, you will be:

  • Placed on a diverse team with a near-peer mentor

  • Provided resources to explore social issues, serve your community, and reflect on solutions to issues that matter to you

  • Given space to learn and practice sociopolitical changemaking skills and leadership skills, such as public speaking, mobilization, information literacy, social media usage, conflict resolution, and team leadership

  • Given the opportunity to partner with other local community-based organizations to implement local solutions to local problems

  • Exposed to different groups, perspectives, cultures, and ideas

Working hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday event: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
