The Wellness Center is a non-clinical peer run center for mental health consumers. There are no fees. The Wellness Center’s mission is to assist consumers in their recovery while reducing the stigma related to mental illness through peer-support, teaching recovery tools and coping skills. Peer-run support groups and classes, as well as peer-advocacy, is offered by trained Peer Recovery Coaches. A computer lab, self-education recovery library and WRAP ( Wellness Recovery Action Plan) classes are also available, among many other services. The Wellness Center believes in transformation and recovery and is a welcoming place to discover, recover and grow! TWC is a Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Program in collaboration between Peer Recovery Services and San Joaquin County Behavioral Health Services.
