The Wellness Center of San Joaquin County has locations in Stockton and Manteca. Both sites are non-clinical peer run centers for mental health consumers. There are no fees. Their mission is to assist consumers in their recovery while reducing the stigma related to mental illness through peer-support, teaching recovery tools and coping skills. They offer peer counseling, peer-run support groups and classes, as well as peer-advocacy. All staff are trained peer recovery coaches in recovery from a mental health condition. Also available: computer lab, self-education recovery library and WRAP ( Wellness Recovery Action Plan) classes, among many other services. Peer Recovery Services believes in transformation and recovery and is a welcoming place to discover, recover and grow! The Wellness Center of San Joaquin County is a Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Program in collaboration between Peer Recovery Services and San Joaquin County Behavioral Health Services. The Manteca Wellness Center has received a one year grant to begin from the Dignity Health Community Foundation. To request a monthly calendar of activities, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Services are continuing during COVID-19 primarily through telephone and Zoom. Please them via phone or email for more information.
