Eligibility
  • For ASES: students attending Colonial Heights Elementary, Claudia Landeen, Don Riggio, Lincoln Elementary, Mable Barron Elementary, Tully C. Knoles Elementary, and John R. Williams Elementary Schools
  • For the before- and after-school fee-based programs: students in TK-6 grades attending Brookside Elementary or John McCandless STEM Charter School
  • For the Home Visitation Initiative program: must live within Lincoln Unified School District attendance boundaries in the 95207, 95209 and 95219 zip codes and must qualify under one or more high need criteria
Fees
Before- and after-school program fees depend on the hours and days needed. Subsidized care is available.
Services

Lincoln Unified School District offers a number of programs:

  • After School Education and Safety (ASES) provides after school care for children. The program has three main points: academics, enrichment, and recreation. A snack is provided daily. Please contact the school directly for more information.
  • After School Education and Safety sites are as follows:

  • Lincoln Unified School District provides a fee-based before- and after-school program at Brookside School serving students in grades K-6 and after school only at John McCandless STEM Charter. Please contact the individual site at the number listed below.

  • Home Visitation Initiative is a home visitation program. It also offers play groups for children ages 0 to 5 years and parent/provider workshops.
  • Raising a Reader Family Literacy Program
Hours
For ASES: after school until 6:00 p.m. For the before and after school programs: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. For the Home Visitation Initiative Program: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
