The Community Partnership for Families of San Joaquin operates a Family Resource Center with administration offices in one of the highest-need communities in Stockton-the Kentfield neighborhood. They use Service Integration as a planning process to create individualized plans to meet the needs of children and their families by utilizing their strengths. The comprehensive and well-coordinated case plans improve the delivery of services because they eliminate duplication and gaps in services and actively involve families.
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance: they partner with the Internal Revenue Service to prepare and file basic tax returns to low-to-moderate income individuals and families who cannot or prefer not to prepare and file their own returns.
Mobile Farmers Market: they partner with the Emergency Food Bank each month to provide families with free fresh fruit and vegetables and hands-on instruction around how to prepare delicious, healthy meals.
Computer Lab: they provide a computer lab to help families prepare their resumes, look for and secure employment, complete their homework, and the like.
Kentfield Soccer Club: they work in partnership with the Kentfield Action Team for this soccer club. The Kentfield Action Team operates a youth soccer club at Weberstown East Park. The club runs from September to June each year taking the summers off. The park is located directly across from Villa Monterey. Youth participating in the soccer club benefit from learning new skills, engaging in regular physical activity, and having fun with one another.
