Why Donate?

Community Connections is one of the greatest social technology projects in the history of San Joaquin County. It has been a whirlwind of a project, but we set out with the continued mission to improve the lives of our fellow citizens. What started 15 years in the CalWORKs department at San Joaquin Delta College as a service to a small minority, has grown into a tool that is utilized by nearly every possible demographic.

Since launching the beta site in January 2014, Community Connections has served over 80,000+ people (as of December 2015). These individuals have utilized the resources in Community Connections over 205,000+ times.

Tuleburg has carried the cost of this online tool since day one, but the tool has reached a turning point. The cost to further refine, and maintain Community Connections' cutting edge development is $15,000 - $25,000 per year. We have a goal of raising $100,000 to fund the project to where it is today, and to develop the final phases:

  • Inter-agency/nonprofit referral tool
  • Volunteer database tool

All donations are tax deductible through the Community Connections fund with the Community Foundation of San Joaquin.

We also have a goal of ensuring the yearly success of Community Connections by identifying annual donors to help fund the cost to further develop, refine, and maintain Community Connections' cutting edge development, which is $15,000 - $25,000 per year.

With your donation, it is our sincerest hope to draw even more attention and users to this unprecedented tool. With your generosity, we can further work to eradicate the barrier to services and bring the social services, referral and public offerings to the entire population.
