Pregnant and/or parenting teens in the Lodi Unified School District who are attending school full-time. Plaza Robles High School's campus-based day care is available for infants and children up to three years of age. Students may attend Plaza Robles High School, Independent Study or any school within the Lodi School District. Students participating in the New Horizons Program are required to assist in the day care one period per day.
The New Horizons Program for Pregnant and Parenting Minors offers a program for Lodi Unified School District's pregnant and parenting students. It is focused on retaining students in school, ensuring their education and progress towards graduation and assisting in goal setting and transitioning to college or career. The program offers prenatal, childbirth and parenting information, extensive exposure to community resources and campus-based counseling. Students may attend regular classes at Plaza Robles or any other Lodi Unified School. Students participate one period per day in a Parenting Lab, where students learn hands-on skills as they assist in the day care. Independent Study students have hours arranged around their school and child care is provided for them while students attend class.
