The Parkinson's Support Group of Tracy will be hosting a morning of exercises for people with Parkinson's disease. Heidi, a Physical Therapist for LifeGuard, an inhome health care system, along with her supervisor will lead us in some of the daily exercises that we should be doing. Heidi feels that she and her supervisor could learn some things from our group that will help them in their business and in working with other that have Parkinson's disease and I am certain that we can learn some exercise from them. This will be on Monday October 14th at 10 am in the Life Center at Paul's Lutheran Church, which is located on the corner of Lowell Ave. and Charles Dr. In Tracy, Calif. 94376. Not only are these kind ladies going provide us with exercises, they are going to provide us with a breakfast snack after our exercise session. If you have a friend or relative with Parkinson's disease come and get all your questions answered. If you have Parkinson's and are newly diagnosed or have had it for years, come and learn some new things that can make your life easier.
We are an informal group, and have many discussions that could be embarrassing, if not for the genuine desire for truthful information and the caring of one another this group has. Our conversations, no matter what the subject matter are always handled discreetly. If something embarrasses you, just say so. Our aim is not to make anyone feel uncomfortable but to share information as honesty as possible. We laugh at with each other and at ourselves, but never do we laugh at someone's problems or symptoms. Give us a try. Once you come, you'll what to keep coming back, we're a good healthly addition to have.
