The Healthier Living program was established and created by Stanford University. It is a chronic disease self management program consisting of a six-weeks. It is designed to teach people how to become better self managers of their chronic illness. This program is also beneficial to people without a chronic illness. Some of the topics covered include: making healthier choices, exercise, better sleep, action plans, decision making and problem solving.
St. Joseph's also offers diabetes education and self-management workshops. Both are designed to help you understand this illness and how to live well by managing this disease.
