Lodi Community Service Center provides families with emergency food on Tuesday and Friday 11:00 a.m.; serving 30 families. To qualify, must be a low-income resident living in San Joaquin County (Lodi, Galt, Thornton, Clements, Victor and Woodbridge). For emergency food, clients must bring documentation. Please call to learn what documentation and identification is needed for each family member. They also provide the following programs:

  • After school program for children: Monday through Friday 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Summer programs for youth are also offered. Volunteers are needed
  • Bingo for Seniors
  • Brown Bag for seniors (60 years and older) is held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, $12 per year ($.50 per bag)
  • Catholic Charities offers prenatal, children and adult health insurance application assistance by appointment. Please call (209) 444-5907
  • Commodities (food varies each month): every third Thursday of each month 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the community center
  • Computer training (all ages): please call to inquire
  • Food stamp application assistance by an Eligibility Worker
  • Emergency food distribution: Tuesday and Friday from 11:00 a.m. serving 30 families
  • GED study guide available
  • HEAP application
