Being a person who stutters, beings a parent of a person who stutters, or have a special interest in stuttering.
The Sacramento/Roseville Chapter of the National Stuttering Association meets monthly as a support group for People Who Stutter (PWS). This is a place were we can talk and be open about our speech and support each other and remind ourselves that we are not alone. We do allow parents, and educators to join our local monthly chapter meetings.
The National Stuttering Association is a non-profit self-help organization. Resources, DVD’s and a website with current research is available. In addition, year-round activities and community outreach are offered. Their goal is to provide information about the cause, prevention and treatment of stuttering while dispelling myths and providing a welcoming atmosphere for all who wish to attend.
The chapter currently meets the third Monday of each month from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at 1915 Douglas Boulevard in Roseville (Raley's Conference Room). Contact Mike Molino: (firstname.lastname@example.org) as times and locations occasionally change.
