Disability Resource Agency for Independent Living (DRAIL) is a non-profit corporation that is community based, consumer controlled, consumer choice and a cross disability center for independent living. Serving the counties of Amador, Calaveras, Mariposa, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tuolumne, DRAIL offers services that are designed to increase the independence of people with disabilities by empowering them to improve their quality of life. DRAIL services include:

  • Technical Assistance and Evaluation
  • Information, care provider and housing referrals
  • Individual and systems advocacy
  • Peer advising and peer support volunteer training
  • Volunteer services
  • Independent living skills
  • Benefits advising
  • Disability Awareness Sensitivity Training and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
  • Motor Voter Registration, braille classes and assistive technology
  • Youth with Disabilities Advisory Committee (ages 15 to 20 years). Available at the Modesto Office only
  • Visually impaired equipment. Available at the Modesto Office only
  • Computer training
  • Dial-a-Ride certification. Available at the Modesto Office only

  • Assisted technology
Hours
Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., closed from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
