The Housing Authority of the County of San Joaquin established the San Joaquin County Housing Authority Scholarship Foundation to provide post-secondary scholarships for students living in subsidized affordable housing. The competitive scholarships are for full-time college students pursuing vocational or technical educations. In order to increase the endowment of the Foundation, the Housing Authority, in conjunction with the San Joaquin Housing Authority Scholarship Foundation, established an annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser program.
The Foundation is again teaming with Habitat for Humanity of San Joaquin County to assist Habitat raise financial support to further their mission of eliminating substandard, poverty housing by providing homeownership opportunities to low income, working families in need.
